What to Expect

All consultations are conducted online so you will need access to stable internet, a private space and no interruptions while we are in your consultation. I see clients in Australia only and I’m in Sydney so timing is based on Eastern Time. If you are from outside of Australia, please contact me so I can assess if we can work together.

When we first meet I’ll ask a lot of questions about your health history, family history, and detail about your presenting symptoms. I will also ask you about your energy, sleep, stress, activity levels, and exercise.

I use a naturopathic approach to my consultations and consider that most disease begins in the gut so we talk about your diet, meals, poo, and digestive symptoms. I may also check your nails, tongue and skin.

At the end of the consultation, I’ll provide you with a treatment plan that includes dietary changes and may include supplements and lifestyle changes. All supplements are set up as a prescription through a supplier so you will need to set up a login to get your supplements delivered to your door. I may require you to have Microbiome testing, blood testing, or food intolerance/sensitivity testing.

Teenagers up to 15 years old must be accompanied by a parent, 16 and over can come individually.

Concession consultations are for senior card holders, and students who are full-time and self-supporting. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please email us reception@alisonrex.com.au. 

If you have any relevant test results, please bring them along or email them prior to your appointment – reception@alisonrex.com.au.
